Turbo Project

This winter I plan to Turbo-charge my 2001 Firebird Convertible V6 as well as several other upgrades.

wondering if anyone is interested in helping with the project?

Current mods :

3" Borla Exhaust w/ 3" in/out catco Cat
Pacesetter Headers and Y Pipe
180 degree F Thermostat
Intense Racing PCM
K&N filter
SLP Cold Air Intake (will remove for turbo)
Whisper Air Lid (will remove for turbo)
Lakewood LCAs w/ poly bushings
MSD Super Coils and MSD 8.5mm wires
Brock B6 SLC 18 " Rims
Drilled/Slotted Rotors
Custom audio system w/ 2x JLw6v2s

Mods that I have that need to be installed w/ Turbo:

3.42 gears and Zexel Limites Slip differential
BMR Panhard Bar
Ported and Polished Upper Intake Manifold

Future Upgrades:

Forced Induction Camshaft
High Stall Torque Converter

I saw your firebird in bitburg october 2005. Very nice ride. We spoke a few words together.

I wish you good luck with your project, maybe you can make pictures from beginning till end? That would be perfect.

I think, you will kick some V8-asses next year on the quartermile

sweet. I'm interested in what type of setup you will be using...turbo type etc.

How will you tune it...thats going to be my biggest problem, along with modifying my headers to incorporate the turbo piping, since they are not forward sweeping.

Hi,

that is an interesting project. The question is if such an application in a German registered car could be approved by the TÜV.

In that case it might be a good alternative to putting a LS1 engine into the car.

it's not a german registered car
